Handcrafted by talented local Mayan indigenous artisans in Guatemala, these belts feature intricate hand weaving with 100% cotton. Originating from Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, each belt reflects traditional craftsmanship and cultural heritage. The woman who makes these precious creations is one of the last remaining Mayans in Guatemala. All of the proceeds go back to her to support her family and her community.

The fabric, crafted by hand in the Lake Atitlan region, is meticulously woven using traditional wooden foot looms before being sewn into belts. The vibrant fabric is dyed using natural dyes derived from plants and other natural sources. Every belt is one-of-a-kind, adorned with a beautiful design, made to represent their connection to nature. 

Additionally, the weaver incorporates traditional designs featuring intricate patterns and iconography representing items significant in their lives. Each icon holds a specific meaning, with some known only to the weaver herself.
