Description:

During the class you will get to learn how to make one of our soy-free, paraffin-free, and chemical-free candles, that uses shea butter and wood wicks. You will have a variety of flowers, crystals, and scents to choose from to make your own beautiful and unique creation. *Scroll down to learn some benefits of the candles you'll be making and their ingredients!*

Why do we host these workshops?

We use only natural, pure plant-based scents, shea butter, and candelilla wax to make the candles. Candles sold at Target and other stores can be harmful when burned because of their soy and paraffin wax. That's why we offer these amazing workshops, allowing you to make your own candles with a clean burn.

Most candles are scented with fragrances that are toxic to breathe. During the workshop we will go into depth about why burning fragrance candles is not good for our health and what fragrance is really made of. That's why you'll be making a candle using only 100% pure, plant-based essential oils like lavender, peppermint, lemongrass, clove bud, cedarwood, orange, eucalyptus, and more that have been distilled and smell amazing!

What will we be using?

You get to pour the candle base into a real coconut shell bowl that comes directly from a small family farm in a small Pueblo in Guerrero, Mexico. We source these coconuts with a focus on sustainability and supporting indigenous communities. By purchasing coconuts from a family farm in Guerrero, Mexico, we help the local families by providing them with tools to shave the husk off the coconuts, remove the coconut meat for making coconut oil, and drain the coconut water, which we then donate back to the community. Each bowl is hand-sanded with love.

We also support families in Ghana, Africa when making our candle base. The indigenous women hand press shea nuts from the trees to make shea butter for us. This initiative helps support these families who desperately need our help due to the destructive practices of oil companies and corporations that are harming their land, farms, and villages. Our goal is to help keep them alive and protect their land from exploitation.

For every reservation purchased for this class, we donate the profits back to these families and communities in Mexico & Ghana.

What's included?

You'll receive a large coconut bowl, candle base, essential oils, flowers, and crystals to customize your candle just the way you want it. At the end of the workshop, you'll take your creation home! Once the candle has burned down, you can clean the coconut shell bowl and reuse it for eating. We will also offer wine, herbal teas, and snacks throughout the night.

Our workshop offers both a fantastic learning experience and plenty of fun! You'll meet me, get to know our brand, and connect with other members of our local community throughout the event. You can also bring your friends and loved ones and use this experience as an opportunity to connect with them!

Teaching & spreading knowledge of plants and their healing properties is my life passion, I would be honored to have you join me for this workshop and can’t wait to see you all there! ❤️

Ingredient Benefits:

  1. Shea Butter:
    - You can use the candle base as a body cream once the wax is cooled off
    - Shea butter helps to slow down the burning process of the candle, extending its overall burn time
    - It contributes to a more even and steady flame, reducing the risk of flickering or tunneling

    2. Coconut Oil:
    - Coconut oil produces a clean, even-burning candle, with minimal soot or smoke, resulting in a healthier indoor air quality

    3. Candelilla Wax:
    - Candelilla wax is a vegan and sustainable alternative to beeswax, making the candle perfect for those who prefer plant-based products
    - Candelilla wax has a higher melting point than other waxes, which helps the candle maintain its shape and last longer
