Inspired by indigenous cultures throughout the world, Prana by Lana was born. We are sharing mother nature’s gifts with you and providing the purest, all natural skin, hair, body, care products, candles & teas all made with love and pure intention, without all the synthetic chemicals and preservatives that are in our current market.
We build relationships with local villages and farms throughout the world and source wild harvested plants and trees. We work closely with villagers that still use ancient practices. For example, cold pressing all their oils using traditional methods. Every ingredient we use is one step above the term "organic". Meaning they are not genetically grown or altered, no pesticides or herbicides involved, not even organic pesticides and herbicides. Each plant is wild harvested containing all the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants in its original form.
Prana Skincare was created by Lana after studying the medicinal properties of plants and trees throughout the world including the Amazon Rainforest, Ecuador, US Virgin Islands, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and many more. Through researching and observing how the indigenous communities would heal themselves internally and externally through the gifts of nature, it inspired her to start this line and share these pure ingredients with the world.
We refrain from using harmful synthetics that are toxic to our bodies, which are common in skincare products such as: glycerin, synthetic vitamin e oil, water, aloe vera juice, citric acid, guar gum, alcohol, xanthan gum, glyceryl stearate, cetearyl glucoside, cetearyl alcohol, castile soap.
Our main goal is to educate society on the benefits of real plant based products versus synthetic, processed preservatives and chemicals and their harmful side effects. We strive on spreading peace, love and harmony through our products. In order to maintain that love and peace we started a recycling program with our jars to prevent more waste from damaging our planet.
Mother Earth has been suffering for the last decade due to the abundance of waste that is not biodegradable. Our oceans, our forests, our animals, crops are all suffering and declining at a very rapid rate due to harmful waste from plastic, metal scraps, rubbers and many other non-biodegrable materials.
Our commitment to mother earth is to always use eco-friendly materials. All our products are put into glass jars with either bamboo or biodegradable lids. We can refill your jar if you bring it to one of our markets. We also accept empty jars to recycle and in return you will receive a discount on your next purchase.
We recycle everything! All of our products are shipped in recycled boxes, recycled bubble wrap & recycled packaging. Every little bit we contribute can make a huge impact on mother earth!
Overall, our mission is to safeguard indigenous lands, communities, and cultures by preserving their traditions and acquiring handmade goods and natural ingredients directly from them. This enables us to offer the most natural and sustainable products. We urgently need everyone's support in this community-based effort because corporations and oil companies are causing harm, destroying lands, indigenous villages, forests, jungles, and impacting nature as a whole. It's crucial to help in protecting and preserving indigenous communities and villages for the well-being of our planet.
